Grier Heights Community Center

logo design

Grier Heights Community Center is the community center for something-something CrossRoads Corporation. A corporation for Affordable Housing and Community Development, Inc. in the Charlotte, NC neighborhood of Grier Heights.

After completing their website, I was asked to create a logo for their newly completed community center. My inspiration? Pinecones. That’s right. Unless you’re a native to Charlotte, you’re unaware the Pinecone is a symbol for the city. With this mysterious symbolism and the goals of their community center at the forefront, I created this logo of houses combined to form the shape of a pinecone.
